Who We Are
Somaliland IDP Support Organization (SISO) is a humanitarian and development-focused non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the lives of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), vulnerable communities, women, youth, and marginalized populations throughout Somaliland.
Founded on 2015 for the principles of dignity, compassion, accountability, and community empowerment, SISO works to address the immediate humanitarian needs of vulnerable populations while promoting sustainable development solutions that foster resilience, self-reliance, and long-term community wellbeing.
Through strategic partnerships with communities, government institutions, development agencies, donors, and civil society organizations, SISO delivers impactful programs that create opportunities, restore hope, and strengthen communities affected by displacement, poverty, climate shocks, conflict, and economic hardship.
Our Mission
To provide humanitarian relief, protection services, education support, livelihood opportunities, health and wellbeing initiatives, and community empowerment programs that improve the living conditions and future prospects of internally displaced and vulnerable populations in Somaliland.
