Bringing Hope to Families in Need
Somaliland IDP Support Organization (SISO) has successfully conducted an emergency humanitarian assistance campaign for internally displaced families living in Hargeisa. The initiative aimed to provide immediate relief to households affected by prolonged drought, economic hardship, and displacement.
During the distribution, vulnerable families received essential food supplies, hygiene kits, and other basic household items to help improve their daily living conditions. Special attention was given to women-led households, elderly people, persons with disabilities, and families with young children.
Supporting the Most Vulnerable
The emergency response reflects SISO’s ongoing commitment to protecting the dignity and wellbeing of internally displaced persons (IDPs) across Somaliland. Beyond providing emergency assistance, SISO continues to work with local communities and partners to promote long-term resilience through education, livelihood opportunities, health services, and community development initiatives.
Community Appreciation
Community representatives expressed their gratitude for the timely support, emphasizing that the assistance has helped families meet their immediate needs during a difficult period.
“This support has brought hope to many families who were struggling to provide food and essential supplies for their children. We sincerely appreciate SISO’s commitment to standing with our community.”
